We are looking for a enthusiastic person that has been in the dairy industry for at least 1 season for The Kapenga M Trust KMS dairy farm. The farm is situated 20 mins south of Rotorua. It is a rolling to steep farm so ideally you will have had experience driving bikes and tractors on this kind of terrain. We expect you to - Be able to milk efficiently - Detect cows that are sick or lame - Put up break fences and work out paddock areas - Be able to operate vehicles in a safe manner - Be a team player and help out the team when asked. - Be able to follow instructions and be confident to ask questions - Be punctual reliable and a good time manager but not a clock watcher - Be willing to learn - Clean and tidy and take pride in the workplace. You need to be fit and healthy and drug free. We are looking for a dependable Dairy Farm Assistant to join our Taranaki-based operation, located just 10 minutes from Inglewood. The role begins in June or July 2026 (start date flexible to suit the successful applicant). Our farm milks approximately 320 cows through a 40‑aside herringbone shed with in‑shed feeding. You’ll work alongside the farm owner and support the day‑to‑day running of the farm. Looking for someone to join our team! 50 Bail Rotary, milking 950 cows. Working in a team environment with 3 different shifts: Early, mid, and late. Jobs include: Milking cows once or twice a day depending on shift, shifting irrigation, fences, stock, and helping with other general farm jobs. Roster is 9 days on, 3 days off.

We have 3 positions available for calf rearers near Rangiora. We have 1300 cows and rear 350 replacements in total over 2 farms. The focus is on attention to detail and healthy replacement and bobby calves as well as running an efficient calf rearing system. All roles require a strong, physically capable person able to handle calves. The farms are 1km from Rangiora. Accommodation is available for all positions if required. 1. Lead calf rearer – this person will be responsible for the calf rearing team and be involved with planning with the farm manager. This role requires proven experience with calf rearing and an ability to work with staff. The role is fulltime from late July to late September, and then hours reducing until all the calves are weaned in early December. 2. Calf rearing 2ic – this role will be to support the lead calf rearer and maintain high standards. This is a fulltime position from late July to late September. Some calf rearing experience preferred. 3. Assistant calf rearer. – this person will be physically capable and help with the peak of calving. No experience needed.
