We are looking for a VOSM/ LOSM for the 26/27 season and beyond. The farm is 86 ha effective milking approx 250 high BW/ high producing cows through a 26a/s HB cowshed with cup removers. The land/ pasture is well established with approx 60 ha of flat/ terraces, 12 ha rolling and 14 ha steep country. The farming operation is run as system 2-3. Grass silage is harvested on farm, maize silage imported and PKE also fed through strategic periods. Farm production has been consistent at +1100 kg MS/ ha and +380 kg MS/ cow. The current VOSM has decided to retire and has been operating the farm for the 9 seasons, we are looking for someone with excellent stock skills and a high level of attention to pasture management - some areas of the farm can be challenging in this regard. We are looking for a person to assist us in the running of our three farms. This position is based on a 70 Ha farm in Otamarakau. Approximately 40 min from Whakatane and 25min from Te Puke. The farm has been converted into a fattening beef block from a small dairy farm. This farm is run in conjunction with a 480 Ha and a 250 Ha farm 7-15km away. The farms calve down 650 commercial and registered Hereford cows, and sell Hereford bulls for the dairy industry. We make all of our own supplement. The successful applicant will reside on the 70 ha block but would be employed to work on all the farms as needed and you would be ultimately accountable to the Farm Owner. The successful applicant HAS to have prior farm experience, reliable and with a good work ethic. They will have to be happy to work by themselves at times and with others. Good communication is essential as they will need to liaise regularly with the farm owner and other workers. They will need 2-3 working dogs. Cameron’s is a diverse family farming operation including Dairy, Kiwifruit and Quarry, 20 minutes from Te Puke, Bay of Plenty. Our dairy business comprises of two dairy platforms, one is a 330 Friesian herd and the other platform includes 450 Jersey herd. You will be working alongside our well-established team carrying out day to day dairy tasks such as but not limited to: · Once a day milking · Movement of stock · Feeding out on feed pad, therefore tractor confidence a MUST · Collection of calves · Calf feeding and handling. · Animal health – Assist with all stock health requirements. · General farm maintenance · Must be competent on a 2-wheeler and quad bike · Technology use – we have Cow Manager ear tags on our herd We are seeking a reliable, punctual, honest, can-do attitude. Our team love to invest in our staff, especially those interested in up skilling and watch them progress and grow in their role. Therefore, we will upskill you in all dairy practical tasks and you will learn about animal health, milk quality and stockman ship. We are always open for staff to upskill by attending short dairy courses or to enrol in the Primary ITO courses. We have a strong health and safety focus with procedures and policies in which all staff are educated in and all follow. We are looking for an experienced farmer with strong general skills (fencing, tractor work, stock handling, calf rearing, general farm duties) to work on our sheep & beef farm in Pyes Pa, Tauranga. The role is drive in, and hours can be set to suit the right person. The role works alongside the Farm Manager, and will cover her weekends off. The role would best suit someone who has had farming experience, and can drive to work daily (no on-farm accommodation). A retired farmer would be a good fit.

We require a general farm hand to carry out morning and afternoon milking, stock movement, general farm duties. Cups on in the morning, 5am. Afternoon milking 2pm. Currently milking 230 cows through a 24 bale rotary with cup removers. Farm is located in Waiotahe, with Waiotahe and Kutarere Schools nearby. School bus at front gate. Roster is every second weekend off. Weekends are normally, milking only and herd paddock to paddock. Staff is one staff member and farm owner, with calf rearer employed in the Spring. We also have a nearby runoff where young stock are kept. We will only consider applicants with New Zealand work permits.
