The role begins in June or July 2026 (start date flexible to suit the successful applicant). Our farm milks approximately 320 cows through a 40‑aside herringbone shed with in‑shed feeding. You’ll work alongside the farm owner and support the day‑to‑day running of the farm. The 100 effective hectare dairy farm milks 280 - 300 Kiwi Cross cows through a 22-aside herringbone, operating a 3-in-2 milking system all season. The farm is on track to produce approx. 116,000 kg MS this season (incl. calf milk). The farm runs a system 3, utilising Proliq all season, with bulk PKE fed via trolleys to fill feed deficits.
