Due to a new farm purchase, we are on the hunt for two Herd managers to work alongside our manager running a year round milking operation. We milk 300 cows through the winter and then calve an additional 300 cows in the spring with the intention to milk approximately 550 through the peak. Cows milked twice a day through a 32 a side herringbone with in shed feeding. This job will include all aspects of the standard dairynz herd managers job description, including but not limited to; milking cows, feeding calves, feeding out, farm maintenance and weed control. Applicants must have 2 years full time experience, be confident driving 2 wheel motorbikes and tractors, and be happy to undergo pre and during employment drug testing, no criminal record and have a full licence. We are Accredited employers. Accommodation is a newly renovated shared 3 bedroom house.
