Parts & Trade Counter
TFM Tractors / TradeZone Masterton | Masterton | Full time
Experienced parts person? Mechanical background? Or simply switched on and keen to learn? We want to hear from you.
We’re looking for another good person to join our busy Parts and TradeZone team, and we’re deliberately keeping the brief pretty broad.
If you’re an experienced agricultural parts person who knows tractors and machinery, brilliant.
If you’ve worked in automotive, engineering, farming, industrial supplies or another mechanical trade and reckon your skills would transfer, we’d like to hear from you too.
And if you’re at the start of your career, have a bit of mechanical nous, enjoy dealing with people and are keen to learn, don’t count yourself out.
For us, getting the right person matters more than finding the perfect CV.
What could you be doing?
The role will be shaped somewhat around the experience and strengths of the successful applicant, but could include:
-Agricultural machinery parts interpretation and sales
-Serving customers across our TradeZone industrial range
-Supporting our workshop technicians with parts
-Ordering, receipting and managing stock
-Sourcing those weird and wonderful parts customers inevitably need
-Handling phone, email and counter enquiries
-Building relationships with farming, contracting, engineering and trade customers
Who are we looking for?
More than anything, we want someone who is practical, reliable and switched on, enjoys dealing with people and works well as part of a team.
Previous parts experience would be a big advantage, particularly in agricultural machinery, but it isn’t essential.
Product knowledge and systems can be taught. Attitude, common sense and the ability to deal well with people are much harder to teach.
For an experienced applicant, there’s plenty of opportunity to use your existing knowledge and make an impact from day one.
For someone starting out, we can provide training and the opportunity to build a career in agricultural and industrial parts.
About us

You’ll be joining an experienced local team supporting farmers, contractors, workshops, engineers and businesses across the Wairarapa.
Sound like you?
Even if you don’t tick every box, we’d still like to hear from you.
Send us your CV along with a short introduction telling us a bit about yourself and why you reckon you’d be a good fit for the team.
You must be able to live and work in New Zealand at time of application.
