We are looking for a motivated 2IC to work alongside farm owner. We are looking for someone with experience, motivation and passion. Someone with the ability to step into farm manager. Must currently be in New Zealand. Must have at least 2-year dairy experience. Must be able to speak. We milk 330 through 25ASHB based at Glenham. 40km from Invercargill 30 km from Gore. We also run 410 cow fully self-contained sharemilking job next door. We are hand on owners that work alongside our staff day in day out. We all work together on both farms to get the jobs done. Duties Include, Milking unsupervised, Calf rearing, weed control, Crop shifting, Effluent management, young stock work at runoff, Fencing and other farm duties. Castlecor Farm is located in Meath, Central Ireland, and is operating under a farm partnership. Running 450 Spring Calving LIC X-Breed Cows on a New Zealand Pasture-based system 2 type system. We're looking for someone for a 2IC assistant manager role due to our current 2IC progressing to a management role in the industry, after over two year with us. Start date negotiable anytime between July and November. This is a permanent position with your own accommodation provided on-farm. Your position will consist of helping the herd owner/ farm manager operate the farm on day to day basis and leading the operation of the farm when the manager isn’t present. Your main roles would include, but are not limited to; - Assisting the farm manager in the general day-to-day operation of the farm, including: - Grass management, allocating feed and setting up breaks. - Herd health and general animal care. - Caring out the day to day operation of the farm when the manager is away. - Milking - Tractor work and feeding out - Breaks and break feeding - General maintenance and spraying - Some young stock work on heifer grazing farm - General treatment and animal husbandry of cows and calve in spring. Pay is negotiable depending on experience, ability and attitude. We are looking for a reliable milk harvester for the start of calving to the end of mating (1/8/26 - 31/12/26) to assist the contract milker during the peak season. The opportunity to go onto a casual contract after the fixed term is available to the right person. We are located 5 mins from Eltham and 10 mins from Stratford. We can offer variable hours with a minimum of 30 hours a fortnight at a minimum of $30 per hour. Higher hourly rate can be negotiated on experience. We will be milking 375 Friesian cows at peak through a 44 bail rotary with in shed feed. Key responsibilities include: - Efficiently harvesting milk - Keeping shed clean - Identifying cows with health issues - Handling stock calmly. Prior experience is preferred. Reliable transport to and from farm is necessary.
