THE OPPORTUITY
As our Operations Support Administrator at Kapiro Orchard, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: a mix of office-based administration and time out in the orchard, working alongside the team.
If you’re considering a move, this could be a great opportunity to enjoy the relaxed Kerikeri lifestyle while growing your career. For the right candidate, support with relocation costs may be available.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape the role and make it your own. The office will be your base, but you’ll also spend regular time across the orchard, supporting people and helping the operation run smoothly.
Your days could include:
* Recruiting, coordinating and onboarding seasonal staff
* Running health and safety inductions
* Spending time in the orchard to support staff and managers
* Managing housing and property maintenance
* Managing compliance and food safety audits
* Ordering supplies and keeping the operation well equipped
* Coordinating inspections, contractors and vehicle maintenance
* Helping with day-to-day logistics and solving problems as they arise
You enjoy variety, connect easily with people and are comfortable moving between the office, orchard, and other work areas.
The orchard operates seven days a week, while your role will follow agreed working hours – typically Monday to Friday, there will be some occasions where flexibility is needed.
It’s a rewarding opportunity to use your administrative skills while being part of the wider orchard team.
ABOUT YOU
You will be a great fit for this role if you enjoy variety, working with people and helping things run smoothly.
You’re organised, approachable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
You don’t need to come from an orchard background. If you bring relevant experience and are interested in combining administration with time out in the orchard, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
What will help you succeed:
* Admin and organisation skills, including the ability to plan your work and balance changing priorities
* Experience in recruitment, workforce coordination, property management or another role with similar responsibilities; horticulture experience is welcome but not essential
* A clear, friendly communication style and the ability to build positive working relationships
* Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning other administration systems
* A full New Zealand driver’s licence, as you’ll travel between different parts of the orchard
We’re proud to have a supportive and inclusive culture at Pāmu. If this role sounds like a good fit for you, but you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
