The role will include:

• Forklift operation;
• Operating tractors and other orchard machinery;
• General orchard work throughout the growing season;
• Assisting with harvest and other peak-season operations.
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a current Class 5 driver licence;
• Has a clean driving record;
• Has good practical truck-driving experience;
• Has forklift operating experience;
• Is physically fit and comfortable working in a practical outdoor environment;
• Communication skills;
• Has a good understanding of safe work practices and a strong commitment to health and safety;
• Is reliable, safety-conscious and able to work well as part of a team or individually
• Is prepared to work longer hours during our peak harvest period.
Experience in horticulture or agriculture would be useful, but is not essential. We can train the right person in the orchard-specific parts of the role.
For approximately nine months of the year, the position generally involves 8.5-hour days, Monday to Friday. During harvest, hours increase significantly and may involve up to 12-hour days, six days per week.
This is a permanent position. The start date is negotiable for the right person, with the successful applicant ideally in place before the end of January.
