Erindale Farms 2023 Limited is operating a multi farm business. James and Aleisha own a 300 cow farm and sharemilk another 300 cow farm 3km up the road. The farms are run separately but at times we work together and share equipment. The current vacancy is on our Home Farm which is 300 cows on 107ha, located 10 mins to Morrinsville with a brand new 30 a side cowshed and tidy housing. We run a simple pasture based system and rear 70 replacement calves on farm until 1st May. Our goal is to be leading farmers so we all work hard and achieve high standards. With support, you will be responsible for managing the daily milking routine, feed budgeting, picking paddocks and other daily operations including; Milking: Sole charge efficient and hygienic milking routine Stock: Safe handling & treatment of stock, reporting health & welfare safety issues, use & maintain vehicles & machinery, Control weeds, carry out farmwalks, pick paddocks, set break fences, feed out grass silage with tractor & wagon, effluent and water management, be part of the Farm Health & Safety culture. Drive in relief milker required, located near Waianiwa (approx. 20mins from Invercargill, 20mins from Winton). Approx. 3-4 Milking’s a week at this stage. Flexible with days/dates. Approx. 280 cows in older 24 aside herringbone shed. Cups on approx. 7AM & 5PM, but flexible. Cows generally close to shed & fences all set up. Must have milking experience and be able to work sole charge. Must be able to ride a quad. Roughly 3hrs in morning & 2 1/2 hours in afternoons.

Ranginui is an iwi-owned farming business within a wider cluster including dairy, drystock and forestry. The farm has averaged 250,000 kgMS over the past three seasons and, following a return to TAD milking, is on track to exceed 300,000 kgMS this season. We are seeking a motivated and capable Junior 2IC to join our team on a 420-cow dairy operation in the Matamata / Hinuera area. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid ambitions who is ready to step up and continue progressing in the dairy industry. We will be first-season owners on this farm following a recent purchase and are building a strong, positive team culture from the ground up. This is not a management role, but a role designed to help someone progress into a 2IC position with some responsibilities. *PART-TIME FARM WORKER REQUIRED - JULY TO SEPT & MARCH TO MAY* Drive-in position (15 minutes from New Plymouth - farm is by the Airport) 290 cows Split calving - 200 in autumn & 100 in spring System 4 - maize & silage grown on farm, PK bought in Needing someone from July - Sept & March - May (about 6 months of calving but there can potentially be more work throughout the season) 4-5 hours in the morning, wrapping up by 9/9:30am (this is flexible for the right person) Pay is negotiable $25 - $35+ per hour depending on farming experience and distance travelled Opportunity for more hours/relief milking work for the right person! You'll be working alongside me and occasionally my partner will tag along. Both of us are team-players, passionate about the industry and enjoy having a laugh.
