We are looking for a new team member to start 1st June 2026. We are a 100 ha effective dairy farm located north of Otorohanga and are seeking a strong 2IC or trainee manager to join our team. We offer: - collars on cows for health and heat monitoring and auto drafting - good 28 aside herringbone farm dairy - a great balance of learning, time off and salary - well set up farm with efficient high producing cows fed maize silage and PKE on a feedpad - warm and large 3 bedroom house Our ideal candidate will have excellent pasture and feed management skills and strong animal husbandry and health skills. They must be experienced using a tractor including feeding out and the use of other common farm machinery. They must be able to show attention to detail in their work and be motivated to learn and grow. The applicant must have a passion for dairy farming and a desire to produce high quality milk while caring for the cows and the environment. Strong communication skills are essential so applicants must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and have some experience at managing staff. To apply for this role you must be in New Zealand and be a New Zealand resident. We are not accredited to employ applicants on a work visa. You need to have a full clean New Zealand drivers' license and ideally have a minimum of Primary ITO level 4. You must be drug free and able to pass regular drug testing. Salary package is negotiable for the right person. Roster is 11 on 3 off (includes the weekend).
