**Job Description** Contract Milker 860 Cows | 290 ha effective | Miraka Supply | Start 1 June 2026 Ranginui Limited Partnership is seeking an experienced Contract Milker to join our Miraka-supplying dairy operation from 1 June 2026. Ranginui is an iwi-owned farming business within a wider cluster including dairy, drystock and forestry. The farm has averaged 250,000 kgMS over the past three seasons and, following a return to TAD milking, is on track to exceed 300,000 kgMS this season. Located 38 minutes from Tokoroa and approximately one hour from Taupō, this role offers scale, strong support and long-term opportunity within a professionally governed farming business. **The Farm** - 860 cows, targeting 300,000 kgMS, over 290 effective hectares - 50-bale rotary shed with in-shed feeding - Miraka Supply #332 - Replacements run off-farm - Team structure: Contract Milker plus 3 staff - Four on-farm houses available **The Role** You will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the farm, including: - Pasture and feed management and seasonal planning - Herd health, reproduction, milk quality and animal welfare - Leading and supporting the on-farm team - Maintaining a tidy, efficient and well-run operation - Ensuring strong health and safety practices at all times - Meeting Miraka, environmental and compliance requirements **About You** You will bring: - Proven Contract Milking experience, or capability to step confidently into this scale - Strong pasture and stock management skills - Calm, capable people leadership - A proactive and organised approach - Alignment with values-based, iwi-owned farming - New Zealand citizenship or residency **Remuneration** Contract milking terms are set at $1.45 per kgMS, plus an additional calf rearing payment. The position will operate under a standard Federated Farmers Contract Milking Agreement.

We are looking for a dependable Dairy Farm Assistant to join our Taranaki-based operation, located just 10 minutes from Inglewood. The role begins in June or July 2026 (start date flexible to suit the successful applicant). Our farm milks approximately 320 cows through a 40‑aside herringbone shed with in‑shed feeding. You’ll work alongside the farm owner and support the day‑to‑day running of the farm. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Milking and maintaining high hygiene standards · Setting break fences and moving stock · Young stock management · Weed control · Calf rearing · Tractor operation · General repairs and maintenance of fencing and water systems The ideal candidate will have: · Holds a restricted or full driver’s licence · Is physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads · Can work weekends and early mornings · Currently lives in New Zealand and is eligible to work here (we are not AEWV-accredited) · Is reliable, motivated, and eager to learn · Has genuine care for animal health and welfare · Communicates well · Has a clean criminal record and can pass a pre‑employment drug test · Maintains a clean and tidy home and work environment · Is open to on‑the‑job training — we’re happy to teach the right person What’s on Offer · Accommodation: 2-bedroom cottage available · Flexible contract arrangements for the right candidate. *PART-TIME FARM WORKER REQUIRED - JULY TO SEPT & MARCH TO MAY* Drive-in position (15 minutes from New Plymouth - farm is by the Airport) 290 cows Split calving - 200 in autumn & 100 in spring System 4 - maize & silage grown on farm, PK bought in Needing someone from July - Sept & March - May (about 6 months of calving but there can potentially be more work throughout the season) 4-5 hours in the morning, wrapping up by 9/9:30am (this is flexible for the right person) Pay is negotiable $25 - $35+ per hour depending on farming experience and distance travelled Opportunity for more hours/relief milking work for the right person! You'll be working alongside me and occasionally my partner will tag along. Both of us are team-players, passionate about the industry and enjoy having a laugh. The ideal person would be someone who's had some experience in the industry, who has moved to town and is looking for a bit of casual farm work without the pressure of decision making. We have a tidy farm located on the township boundary with approximately 420 cows, a 44 a/s h/b shed with Inshed feed and cup removers, and a travelling irrigator. Ideally, candidates should have a minimum of 1 year's experience. Tractor work is minimal and not essential to know how to drive one. We autumn calve (mid March - end of April) and dry off in the summer, requiring extra hands during calving and AB.
