We are looking for a enthusiastic person that has been in the dairy industry for at least 1 season for The Kapenga M Trust KMS dairy farm. The farm is situated 20 mins south of Rotorua. It is a rolling to steep farm so ideally you will have had experience driving bikes and tractors on this kind of terrain. We expect you to - Be able to milk efficiently - Detect cows that are sick or lame - Put up break fences and work out paddock areas - Be able to operate vehicles in a safe manner - Be a team player and help out the team when asked. - Be able to follow instructions and be confident to ask questions - Be punctual reliable and a good time manager but not a clock watcher - Be willing to learn - Clean and tidy and take pride in the workplace. You need to be fit and healthy and drug free. Dairy Farm Assistant required. The position involves supporting the Farm Managers in achieving the farm’s production and profit goals through assisting with the day-to-day operation of the farm, and to follow good animal health and welfare, and environmental practices.
