We are looking for a Unit Manager to join our team on a 840 cow farm, 54 bail Rotary, ACR, in shed feeding and Allflex Cow collars. You will need to be confident in driving a tractor with a silage wagon and mower, have at least 5 years experience, understand pasture management, take pride in your work and have good animal health practices. This role will be directly working with the Sharemilker, with opportunities to progress in the future to full management for the right person. There is an opportunity for a partner to calf rear and relief milk during the season. We offer a 7 on 2 off Roster, Warm 3 bedroom home, a great team environment to work with and competitive salary. We are looking for an honest tidy person to manage/work on our 380-fresain cow farm. There is an opportunity for your partner to do the calf rearing in spring 1 to 2 hrs per morning and casual relief milking. The cowshed is a 30ashb shed. The position for manager is fulltime and comes with a tidy 3-to-4-bedroom house; it has a large stand-alone shed/garage and attached carport to the house. Primary and secondary schools are within 5kms. This farm is a grass-based system. The farm is run in conjunction with our 600 cow dairy farm at Kauana, Centre Bush. This is an exciting role that offers real variety. The role will also have responsibility for all day to day maintenance on the property, fencing, weed control and general farm maintenance. There is also ongoing development work to be done on part of the farm that has been recently acquired so fencing skills are a necessity. The role also has a requirement to assist with the tractor work on both properties, including cultivation, seeding, mowing, and fertiliser. You’ll need a commitment to healthy and safe work and be capable of maintaining and operating our modern equipment. You need to have high standards and keep our farm, machinery and vehicles in good order. As farm owners we’ll be on farm and hands-on. We are looking for a Farm Manager to join our team in the Mayfield/Carew Area for the upcoming Dairy Season. The Manager will be responsible for the daily operation of the shed and running of the 600 cow farm. The farm is fully spray irrigated with a 40 ASHB Shed with in-shed feeding and Protrak. It is important that the Manager is able to work with us to meet the farms targets while making sure that it is a positive and enjoyable environment for all staff. You need to have excellent communication skills and be able to lead the team confidently while being an active team member. We are looking for someone that has an eye for detail, proven stockmanship and be able to feed the cows efficiently to get optimal production.
